We had the pleasure of organizing an entire celebratory weekend for Schipper Kozijnen in honor of their 55th anniversary. The factory hall was completely transformed into an open house with a vibrant, festival-like atmosphere. Visitors entered the hall through a large house structure, where they were welcomed by a stage and an impressive fountain bar serving drinks.

There was plenty to experience on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with each day tailored to a specific target audience. On Friday, we welcomed business partners and clients, who enjoyed drinks and live music while connecting with employees and each other. Saturday was specially designed for local residents and interested visitors, who got a behind-the-scenes look at the production process and learned more about the history of Schipper Kozijnen. Sunday was all about the families of employees: a joyful day filled with a trampoline park, face painting, circus workshops, and children’s entertainment.

It was a weekend full of wonder, connection, and celebration — a moment for employees to proudly showcase their work and for visitors to experience the warm culture of this family-owned company. The 55th anniversary of Schipper Kozijnen was celebrated in grand style!

FUTURE FORWARD FESTIVAL

Talent & Pro turned 25, and that called for a spectacular celebration. We were honored to organize their anniversary event and created the Future Forward Festival! An unforgettable evening where past, present, and future came together, with growth, collaboration, and pride at its core.

The festival setting was built on the company’s outdoor premises in Utrecht, featuring an impressive stage, futuristic decorations, and a surprising program. From a dazzling opening show with disco balls and live music to underground laser tag, rocking out in a retro karaoke caravan, and intimate moments around the campfire—everything was about shared experiences and creating lasting memories. Future Forward Festival became an unforgettable experience that elevated the pride and engagement within Talent & Pro to a new level.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION PARTY

Amsterdamse Poort is undergoing a transformation—from a shopping area into a vibrant city hub. The start of the construction of Cluster 7, featuring a renewed Shopperhal and 600 new residences, deserved a festive celebration. And we made sure it was one to remember with the Under Construction Party.

TRAINEN MET DE TREIN

Traveling by train to school, work, or for a day out is a normal part of life for many people. However, for those with a mild intellectual disability, traveling by train often causes stress or problems. In the Netherlands, over a million people have a mild intellectual disability and experience difficulties when traveling by train. Sudden changes in the schedule or sensory overload from noise are examples that can cause additional stress for these individuals. Fortunately, NS developed the TrainTrainPackage to make traveling a bit easier and more enjoyable for these individuals. The launch event of this package was organized by The Groundbreakers at a fitting location, the Railway Museum. The day was filled with activities for and by the target audience, a delicious lunch, and inspirational sessions with guest speaker Princess Laurentien were part of the program. The successful event was presented by Tooske Ragas, where the target audience received the TrainTrainPackage from NS top executive, Wouter Koolmees. Making train travel more accessible for people with disabilities through the TrainTrainPackage is an important step that contributes to the freedom and inclusion of this group.

THE REUNION

Coming home. That’s the feeling Chamber of Commerce colleagues got at The Reunion – an amazing festival where people could finally meet again after months of working from home. The historic Werkspoorkathedraal in Utrecht was transformed into a playground paradise. Silent disco in a pink inflatable church, watch a movie in the mobile cinema or fly up to the sky in the nostalgic ferris wheel. Anything you could imagine, it was possible at The Reunion. During this playful event, visitors could enjoy delicious and sustainable food and beverages. Main stage was filled by a musical program with as special act Jeroen van der Boom. It was a pleasure for The Groundbreakers to organize this legendary evening full of entertainment and fun for the Dutch Chamber of Commerce.

The 10th anniversary, that can not be unnoticed. Indeed, it should be celebrated. And that is exactly wat we are good at. For this 10th anniversary of JDriven, a consultancy agency with experienced Java specialists, we organized a conference with leading speakers, a lot of knowledge sharing, inspiration and planety of networking. Fort X – Charge your knowledge was an unique day at a historic location; Fort de Batterijen.

All day this location were dedicated to JDriven, with customized decorations, cozy lights and branded signing the place became a home away from home for all JDriven guests. The Groundbreakers organized the creation and production of the tech event and ensured that the guests had all the time they needed to ‘Charge their knowledge’.
