Every month, The Groundbreakers puts an inspiring initiative, product or company in the spotlight. By sharing knowledge and inspiration, we want to stimulate sustainable developments and we hope to contribute to the greening of the business community. This time we would like to highlight the Court of Cartesius in Utrecht. The Groundbreakers team was given a tour of this circularly built workplace. Finally, we did a workshop at the second-hand hardware store Buurman Utrecht. Volta Energy out. Sustainable aggregates

CO2 emissions and atmospheric pollution are a major problem. The earth is warming up more and more due to CO2 emissions. This causes, among other things, the melting of ice at the North and South Poles, rising water levels and climate change. Volta Energy is committed to making polluting generators redundant by building generators that run on solar energy. These generators come in different sizes - from 6 kVA to 120 kVA - so that all types of events can be supplied with green energy. By choosing a sustainable generator instead of a diesel generator, up to 100% of CO2 and nitrogen can be saved.

Benefits for events

Tijdens een evenement is het belangrijk om altijd genoeg stroom te hebben om alles werkend te houden. De aggregaten van Volta Energy zijn voorzien van een ingenieus systeem waardoor ze ook ‘s avonds en als het bewolkt is meer dan voldoende stroom leveren. Daarbij heb je met deze aggregaten op zonne-energie geen herrie, stank en CO2 uitstoot meer. Een win-win-win-situatie!


Socially concerned

Volta Energy is not only committed to a greener world, but also to people at a distance from the labor market. The company works together with a care workshop where people with a daytime activity indication work. The group visits Volta Energy every week to do odd jobs under the supervision of Volta employees. And both parties think that's fantastic; “Not only they, but we also enjoy these days,” says Volta Energy.  

Ambition

According to Volta Energy, there is enormous potential in the rental market, especially in the events and construction sector. These sectors have great incentives to switch to more sustainable alternatives. In the coming years, Volta Energy wants to commit itself to the growth of more sustainable alternatives in these sectors.
