Van afval tot opval   

In een wereld waarin consumeren steeds sneller gaat en spullen sneller worden afgedankt dan gerepareerd, maakt de Circulaire Werkplaats Utrecht het verschil. Hier krijgen oude meubels en apparaten een tweede leven, en tegelijkertijd leren mensen met een afstand tot de arbeidsmarkt waardevolle vaardigheden. Dubbele impact, één doel: een duurzame & inclusieve samenleving.

Tweede ronde, nieuwe kansen   

Elk gered item vertelt een verhaal van vakmanschap en duurzaamheid. Van opgeknapte stoelen tot gerepareerde apparaten: de werkplaats maakt van afval weer iets waardevols. Wat ooit in de hoek werd gezet, krijgt hier letterlijk een tweede kans om te schitteren. De Circulaire Werkplaats is een initiatief van kringloopwinkel De Arm Utrecht, woon-werkorganisaties Emmaus Haarzuilens & Emmaus Domstad en de sociale onderneming WIJ 3.0, die ondersteuning biedt aan mensen met een afstand tot de arbeidsmarkt.

Geef je oude bed een happy end  

Wil jij meehelpen? Doneer je oude meubels, koop een uniek product van de werkplaats of draag bij met kennis en materialen. Iedere bijdrage helpt om mens én materiaal een tweede kans te geven.

Grijp je kans (en je oude kast, tafel of stoel)  

De Circulaire Werkplaats Utrecht laat zien hoe duurzaamheid en inclusiviteit hand in hand gaan. Hier wordt de cirkel letterlijk weer rond gemaakt: van afval naar waardevol product, van mensen zonder werk naar nieuwe kansen. Samen bouwen we aan een circulaire toekomst waarin iedereen meetelt. This has led to a big step: after as much as fifteen years, event agency ID310 stops. Today marks the end of an era for us, but also the beginning of something special. We continue as THE GROUNDBREAKERS: the first green brand activation agency in the Netherlands! A green change of direction where we continue to do what we do best: brand activations in public spaces. The difference, however, is that we execute the production of brand activations in the most sustainable way possible. And that is a first in the events industry! THE GROUNDBREAKERS: the first green brand activation agency in the Netherlands! Een groene koerswijziging waarbij we blijven doen waar we het beste in zijn: merkactivaties in de publieke ruimte. Het verschil is  echter dat we de productie van merkactivaties op een zo duurzaam mogelijke manier invullen. En dat is een primeur in de evenementenbranche!

Of course it's exciting to change direction, but it feels like the right time for us to take this step. Everything we organize and produce is basically for one live moment, which seems to automatically make events unsustainable. Making our industry more sustainable is therefore considered to be too complicated, but it is not impossible! In the last months we have worked hard with our team to renew our business processes and we are now ready to take this big step. The current crisis is causing more and more people and companies to become environmentally aware and to feel that we can no longer treat the earth this way. The world is out of balance and resources are slowly running out; reason enough to change the way we work. As The Groundbreakers we want to make a contribution and show that it is possible as a brand to create impact in a way that does little damage to the earth.
