Draadstalen letters van drieënhalve meter hoog en circa zestien meter breed spelden CHRISTMAS IN UTRECHT. De letters bestonden uit natuurlijke en rauwe materialen zoals geoxideerd staal in een mooie roestkleur...

]]> In December, a large illuminated installation with loving Christmas messages appeared at Utrecht Central station. Wire steel letters of three and a half meters high and about sixteen meters wide spelled out CHRISTMAS IN UTRECHT. The letters consisted of natural and raw materials such as oxidized steel in a beautiful rust color and were mounted on a solid block filled with stones. Travelers were asked to share a loving Christmas wish for themselves, a loved one or someone from Utrecht on social media with the hashtag #christmasinutrecht. These wishes were lasered in wooden discs and hung in the artwork during the period. The sculpture developed into a very long Christmas wish from and for Utrecht. Christmas is here in Utrecht! The Groundbreakers developed this interactive installation for NS, ProRail and the municipality of Utrecht.
