WINTER SPEELCAFÉ

The Winter Speelcafé in Amsterdamse Poort was a joyfull place for both young and old. The Groundbreakers transformed an empty unit into a cozy café with a warm living room feel. While children enjoyed playing games, jumping on the bouncy castle and drawing on the creative chalk wall, parents could relax with a warm cup of coffee. From cappuccino’s and mint tea to fresh toasties and soup. Everyone could find something they liked.

The ice skating was the highlight of the event and, opened by none other that Zappelin-star Fenna Ramos. The children were excited to go skating with her and show off their skills, while parents watched and enjoyed the spectacle.

The Winter Speelcafé was not only a place for people to enjoy and play, but also a place where they could contribute to a good cause. The entire second-hand interior of the café was for sale and the proceeds went to The Breakfast Club of the Fonds of Zuidoost, a wonderful initiative that ensures that children in Zuidoost who are financially struggling can still enjoy a good breakfast. With this event The Groundbreakers not only created a magical and cozy café, but also contributed positively to the community.

What a succes the first edition of the Winter Speelcafé was, we want more!
